Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 11, 2026
ClassroomWars AI ("ClassroomWars," "we," "us") provides tools that help teachers create classroom-ready resources. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider; we never see your plaintext password).
- Content you provide — the answers you enter into a generator (e.g. grade level, topic, subject), any text you edit on a generated result, and feedback/ratings you leave on a result.
- Generated content — the text and, for some generators, the image produced for you. Generated images are automatically deleted 30 days after creation.
- Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your plan, subscription status, and billing history.
- Usage information — which generators you run, how many generations you've used, and basic technical data (IP address, browser) needed to operate and secure the Service.
What we don't collect
We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone.
How we use it
- To operate the Service: create your account, run generators, save your results, and process payments.
- To communicate with you: service notices, and — only if you opt in — product updates or tips (every marketing email has an unsubscribe link).
- To improve the product: reviewing feedback and edits helps us improve generator quality.
- To keep the Service secure and enforce our Terms of Service.
Student information
ClassroomWars is built for teachers, not for direct use by students, and is not intended for children under 13. If you include information about a student in a generator (for example, a name on a worksheet), you are responsible for sharing only what your school, district, and applicable law (including FERPA and similar state student-privacy laws) permit you to share with a third-party tool like ours. Avoid entering more than you need.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run ClassroomWars, under agreements that limit their use of it to providing that service:
- Supabase — hosting, authentication, database, and file storage.
- OpenAI — generates the text and images you request. Your generator inputs and the finished output are sent to OpenAI to produce your result.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Inngest — background job processing (e.g. scheduled cleanup of expired images).
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and generation history for as long as your account is active. Generated images are kept for 30 days and then automatically deleted. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, generation history, images, favorites, and feedback; billing records for a canceled subscription are retained by Stripe as required for financial recordkeeping.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know / access what personal information we have about you.
- Delete your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we don't sell or share personal information, so this doesn't currently apply.
To delete your account and data, go to Account → Danger zone and use "Delete my account." This is immediate and self-service.
To request a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, email privacy@classroomwars.ai. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the site securely. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, encryption at rest for particularly sensitive data, and access controls — but no system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
ClassroomWars is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
